phjoyThe Clippers have had a very busy summer, let alone a busy last couple of offseasons.

cgebetThe Kawhi Leonard/Paul George era never reached the potential that the front office hoped to achieve.

lol646Instead of getting younger, the Clippers parted ways with George, deciding to bring in new veterans.

This offseason, they continued to do that, which had contributed to unintentionally setting a new NBA record in one category.

What NBA record will the 2024-25 Clippers roster break?

Tom Haberstroh and Dan Devine of  Yahoo! Sports reported that the Clippers' new roster will set an NBA record for the oldest roster in the league's history.

Los Angeles will have an average age of 33.2 years, beating the 2001-02 Jazz roster, which had an average player age of 32.0.

Some of the ages of the key older acquisitions for the Clippers this offseason include Brook Lopez (37), Chris Paul (40) and Bradley Beal (32).

They are key rotational players too, who will be joining a roster with James Harden (36), Kawhi Leonard (34) and Nic Batum (36).

The experience is there on this roster, so hopefully they can stay as healthy as possible to maximize the potential of this new group.

Despite most of these players being on the backends of their careers, they are still playing at a high enough level to compete and win.

The Clippers, last postseason, were a game away from overcoming a talented Nuggets squad in the first round of the playoffs.

James Harden made the all-star team in 2024-25 after a below-average 2023-24 year, averaging 22.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 8.7 assists.

Adding Brook Lopez to the roster to be the backup center is a pretty underrated move, adding quality depth to Los Angeles.

This could be their year to compete and make a run, and maybe, players like James Harden and Chris Paul will finally get their first NBA championship.
